FPT–Aptech: Launching “IT-Prudence 2010” scholarship

About Prudence Fund

In 2003, Prudential Group UK established Prudence Fund in Vietnam with the initial amount of US$1.3 million (equivalent to over VND 20 billion), with the aim to support key programs for foreign language training, information technology and sports in Vietnam. The Fund continued to be added US$1.4 million (equivalent to more than VND 22 billion) by Prudential Corporation at the end of 2006 for Fund’s activities for the period of 2007 -2010. For the last six years, Prudence Fund in Vietnam, in collaboration with other ministries and social organizations, has implemented a number of programs such as selecting, training and developing young Tennis force for Vietnam; Training “ business English " and" International Trade Negotiations” for leaders of ministries and departments from the central to provinces; and information technology training Scholarship.

Prudence Fund is committed to contribute to the international integration, solid development and long-term benefit of Vietnam.

About “IT Prudence Scholarship ”

“ IT Prudence Scholarship " , a social program sponsored by Prudential Corporation, has been implemented for three years (2008-2010). The program commits to sponsor at least 120 full IT scholarships with the total value of 290.000 USD to high school students who have excellent academic performance and interest in information technology.

Recommended by software enterprises and organizations, FPT Aptech is chosen by Prudential as the program trainer, by which as a master franchisee, FPT-Aptech is responsible for program coordination.

Short- listed candidates shall enter the exam held by FPT Aptech including the subjects of Mathematics, English and Interview. Qualified candidates shall be granted full scholarship for the international programmer training course which lasts in two years with the total value of US$ 2.400 at Aptech centers.

In 2010, the scholarship is granted to candidates in Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang and Can Tho. The students shall study at Aptech’s centers namely FPT - Aptech; Hue- Aptech; Softech – Aptech and Mekong Delta - Aptech.

Condition :

• Candidate should be those who have never been through any training at any college, university or vocational training centers.
• Academic achievement: the average grade of Mathematics and English in the school year 2009 - 2010 should be 7.0 at minimum
• Personal morality: Good
• Living condition: underpriviledged (notarized by local authority)
• Age: 18 - 22

Registration :

• Application form, notarized cop ies of Academic Profile and High school certification
• Notarized copy of Birth certificate
• 04 4x6 photos ( with name and date of birth clearly stated on the back side of the photos )
• 01 stamped envelop with name and valid address of recipient clearly written to which the Organization Board can send the Attending Note

Time schedule :

• Profile acceptance : 30/06/2010
• Examination : 10/09/2010
• Announcement of successful candidates: 30/9/2010
• Course opening : 15/10/2010
