FPT’s representative office in Myanmar established

The newly established office expects to come into operation this April.

By opening Myanmar representative office, FPT has expanded its presence to 12 countries and territories in the world.

FPT’s Board of Directors have approved the proposal to establish representative office in Myanmar, appointing Mr. Hoang Minh Chau, member of FPT Board of Founders, Chief Representative.

FPT Representative Office in Myanmar shall act on behalf of the company to develop relationship with the Burma government, ministries and ICT associations and potential customers in this country.

The office is responsible for market study and expansion of the company’s distribution business through opening retail system; developing a pool of programmers to facilitate FPT’s clients, especially Japanese ones, to develop software application in Myanmar. It also seizes business opportunities for system integration, e-government, banking, Internet and education.

The new office can present opportunities for member companies, acting as a bridge for them to expand their business in Myanmar.

Chief Representative Hoang Minh Chau will develop plan for human resources, take care of legal procedures relating to the operation of the office, and make regular report to the Board of Directors.

With the opening of Myanmar representative office, FPT has expanded its presence to 12 countries and territories in the world.

With the area of 676,000 square kilometers, three times larger than Vietnam, Myanmar is the largest country in the Southeast Asia and the 40th in the world. The most populated city is Yangon. Capital city is Naypyidaw. National currency is the kyat.

Myanmar, a Buddhism country with religious unique culture and architecture, is considered a promising place with huge business development potentials.
