FPT’s revenue from global market up 19%

With VND 1,100 billion in revenue, the foreign market contributed to increasing FPT’s business result in first 5 months of the year.

After first five months, FPT earned total revenue of VND 12,320 billion, increasing by 26% compared to the same period last year and finishing 110% of the 5-month plan. Pre-tax profit reached VND 999 billion, increasing by 3% compared to the same period in 2013 and completing 106% of the 5-month plan.

Profit-after-tax was VND 817 billion and profit-after-tax of holding company was VND 615 billion, increasing 4% compared to the same period of the prior year. Earning per share (EPS) was VND 1,787.

Global strategy of FPT got the good result. After 5 months, the revenue from foreign markets reached VND 1,100 billion, up 19% compared to the same period in 2013, equivalent to USD 52 million. The Corp expected to gain USD 340 million in revenue from global markets by 2016 through self-development and M&A.

On June 18, FPT won the first M & A of FPT in particular and of Vietnam’s IT sector in general as FPT Software acquired RWE IT Slovakia, a subsidiary of the RWE Group - one of Europe’s leading utility companies.

With this deal, FPT also won 5-year-contract with RWE Group. RWE became the biggest customer of FPT Software in Europe.

The deal will position FPT as a leading service provider in Europe, paving the way to expand their customer base, strengthen delivery capabilities at Europe and adding about 400 experienced consultants in SAP area.
