Gemtek - Tokyo Materials to invest in Hoa Lac hi-tech park
An investment agreement was officially signed by Joint Venture Gemtek-Tokyo Materials and Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park on September 12. Accordingly, the joint venture would rent thirteen hectares of the Hi-tech industry area No.1 in Hoa Lac to build a factory to manufacture conductors and WiFi, Wimax, LTE devices.

FPT Hoa Lac and Joint Venture Gemtek - Tokyo Materials also signed an MOU on co-investment in a residence project in the park.
"Both Gemtek and Tokyo Materials are leading manufacturers of network equipment, telecommunication and electronic devices in Taiwan and Japan. Therefore, the cooperation with this joint venture will boost the development of Hoa Lac’s infrastructure, improving the image of the Hi-tech Industry area No.1," said Nguyen Van Loc, General Director of FPT Hoa Lac.
It is the modern facility with convenient position and comprehensive planning of functional areas that makes Hoa Lac Hi-tech park attractive destination for organizations and individuals working in the fields of hi-tech education, research, and application in Vietnam in particular and the Southeast Asia in general.
To date, Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park has granted investment certificates for sixty eight organizations. Particularly, there have been fourteen investors certified by the Hi-tech Industry Area, including five FDIs and three joint ventures (having foreign affiliates).
