Globalization - Only way for FPT to continue strong growth

Chairman Truong Gia Binh said that globalization was the only way to regain the growth rate in the past.

The conference was held at the time when FPT was in need of a new challenge though it became the leading IT Company in Vietnam. It is expected that FPT will reach nearly USD 120 million in revenue from international markets, 90 % of which will be contributed by FPT Software. FPT IS, FPT Trading and FPT Telecom will assume the rest. The revenue from international markets has gained yearly growth rate of over 30 % in the past three years.

Determination to globalize was concretized by main orientations for 2014-2016. Accordingly, all of FPT’s member units have to collect revenue from foreign markets. They need develop goals and roadmaps for the 2014-2016 period, which FPT’s Board of Directors will approve in December 2013.

Japan, U.S., Singapore, Myanmar and developing countries will be FPT’s core markets planned in the globalization strategy.

Besides promoting trusted software services, FPT will pioneer in providing application solutions on new technology platforms such as Social, Mobility, bigdata/Analytics and Cloud (SMAC) to the U.S., Japan and Singapore.

FPT also desires to become IT service providers in the region, offering such specialized solutions as e-government, telecommunication, banking and finance etc. In the near future, FPT will focus on Singapore, making it as a springboard to enter regional markets. FPT will enhance the comprehensive implementation of its traditional businesses such as system integration, software, education, telecommunications, wholesale and retail in Myanmar.

Besides globalization, revenue from new technology solution products & services, overall IT services and the leading in the field of intelligent services in Vietnam will play role as the important engines for FPT’s growth in the next stage.
