On June 8, 2011, FPT Group officially launched the 2011 Chim En Award on http://vicongdong.vn to honour individuals and organizations for their prominent charitable activities in 2010. Miss Vietnam Dang Thi Ngoc Han will accompany with the Award as its messenger.

The 2011 Chim En Award was organized to distinguish and honour individuals and organizations not yet having an independent legal status who have been conducting outstanding charitable and voluntary activities for the community. It is also a chance for charitable groups and individuals to meet and exchange their creative and effective activities.
Individual and organizations are able to submit their application form directly on http://chimen2011.vicongdong.vn , or send hard copy to organizer’s postal address. These application forms will be assessed through three stages to sort out the most excellent candidates.
The award’s regulation this year is slightly modified to ensure its transparency, efficiency and meaningful purposes to be widely and fully awared of by the community.
In particular, to sort out as many effective operating models and good examples, the organizers introduced an additional award item to honor people having the most findings of lives-in-need. The award value was also increased (10 million dongs for group and 5 million dongs for individual). In addition, at the third stage of the award, the organizer and the judge panel will select 20 groups and 20 individuals for further assessment instead of 15 as in 2009 and 2010.
Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan, head of the award organizing board said: “We hope that 2011 Chim En Award will really be the place to honor excellent people in community activities and be a good playground for participants”.

The Chim En Award has been initiated and organized by FPT Group since 2009. After two years, the award has attracted the participation of thousand of volunteers across the nation, honoring five outstanding groups and individuals each year. To date, the vicongdong.vn network has gathered 300 voluntary groups with approximately 35,000 members. It has become a true “Home of the local charitable and voluntary community”
