Honour “The greatest contributor to Banking Vietnam”
On the night of May 27, 2009, at Melia Hotel (Hanoi), the “10 years of Banking Vietnam” anniversary took place. At the ceremony, Mr. Do Cao Bao, CEO of FPT-IS, was honoured as one of nine individuals who received the title “Excellent contributor to Banking Vietnam.” Mr. Do Cao Bao and FPT-IS are the only representative of solution providers to receive this title.

FPT-IS participated in Banking 2009 with the message “FPT-IS accompanies the development of Vietnamese banking.”
This is a message emphasized by Mr. Do Cao Bao, CEO, in the anniversary of 10 years of Banking Vietnam with memories during the 20 years working with banks, from the provision of the first 6 ATMs to infrastructure solutions as well as complicated softwares.
This message was also repeated by Mr. Duong Dung Trieu, Vice CEO of FPT-IS in his report in the morning of the first conference day.
In summary, since 1990, with the development of the information system for Maritime Bank, after nearly 20 years, FPT-IS has provided banks in Vietnam and the region with systems such as: LAN; WAN; host computer; Datacenter; Corebanking system; Security system; ATM/POS/ATM switching system; ATM card system; credit cards; EMV; Payment system; Internet Banking/Mobile Banking services, post-core applications: Risk, ERP…
Mr. Duong Dung Trieu also stressed: with nearly 350 officers directly deploying, operating, and supporting in the banking field, FPT-IS commits to accompany banks in the deployment of IT applications, and this crisis time is the opportunities of domestic banks to invest in IT to catch up and compete with foreign banks.
The presentation of Mr. Do Quang Anh, CEO of FPT-IS PFS, with the subject “Providing public finance services – A potential market for banks”, also attracted special attentions from banks, because it mentioned the direction toward the integrated financial system model, with the tendency of combining banking and finance.
Mr. Do Quang Anh also emphasized that FPT-IS was not only an IT service provider, but also acted as a bridge between banking and finance, fostering the authorization of services to banks, cooperating with banks to re-consult for finance, constructing available IT infrastructure and providing connection services.
FPT-IS has brought to Banking Vietnam 2009 an overall picture about software solutions and IT services in banking.
