Information and Communications Minister paid a visit to FPT Corporation

Minister Le Doan Hop expressed his pleasures at the outstanding developments of the Corporation, he said: “FPT is a robust corporation of the nation; therefore FPT needs to try with every effort to become a technical, political and economic corporation of the region and the world as well.” The Minister highlighted achievements recorded by the corporation such as:

- Proactive, confident and self reliant in expanding its markets;

- Helps create more than 10,000 employments;

- Gains high revenues, made contributions to the State budget for national construction;

- Interested in economics, social policies;

- Active in attracting high quality employees, training and providing young manpower to enhance competitiveness;

- Continuously improve infrastructure for rapid development;

- Interested in internal affairs, proactive in external relations, cooperation exchanges;

- Have unified contingents of workers to together build up the robust brand.

At the meeting, Mr. Hop also said that in the integration process, FPT Corporation needs to take their expansion plans into considerations creatively, especially the focal investments; devises proper and practical policies. Furthermore, FPT Corporation also needs to improve manpower’s quality, company‘s culture to ensure sustainable development as well as maps out acceleration and development strategy to become a national brand.

Chairman of the FPT Corporation – Mr. Truong Gia Binh extended sincere thanks to the attention of the Minister. He also made recommendations to the Minister on local companies are permitted to be the main contractor in big IT projects; permit of national and international backbone network; permit on WiMAX mobile delivery for FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company; management procedures of IT projects, particularly software projects; supports for the FPT University the rights of finance decisions, enrollments and curriculum.

The Minister promised to take all the above recommendations into considerations and will ensure a fairer business environment for FPT Corporation in particular and other enterprises in general./
