Internet payments via banks

Internet Bill Payment via Banks service is for customers whose accounts registered at Bank for Foreign Trade Bank of Vietnam (Vietcombank) and/or visa debit cards registered at Asia Commercial Bank (ACB), therefore customers will just ask FPT Telecom for registration. Monthly bill will be notified and sent to bank(s) by FPT Telecom and bank account will automatically be deducted. The service saves customers’ time, queue for bill payment, and no interruption for late payment.

Ms. Đỗ Thanh Chi, Director of FPT Telecom Customer Supports Centre in HoChiMinh City said: “The reform is efficient in the internet service payment, helping customers convenient and reducing workloads for bill collectors. In the time to come, we will coordinate with other banks in Vietnam with aim to provide the service, irrespective different bank accounts”.

Additionally, customer will also select one of five options for payments:

Hanoi City

- Account name: Branch of FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company

- Account number: 001.100.189.9248 – Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam

2. Via Vietcombank ATM locations: Instructions are displayed on ATM locations’ screen.
3. Payment via short message: Only for Techcombank account customers registered service F@stMobiPay at 100 Techcombank locations within the territory.
4. Pay at counters of FPT Telecom:

5. At customers’ registered address: FPT Telecom employees will collect monthly bill at customers’ registered address. FPT Telecom plans to collect VND 5,000/bill (VAT excluded), additionally, in 2008.

In the 6 coming months, FPT Telecom plans to swap 40% - 50% of total customers to bank payment formula.

Now, FPT Telecom schedules to provide customers with information through e-mail, manual delivery and/or at website www.fpt.net and www.fpt.vn . Custmers will get bank payment registration form at counters, collectors and/or download from website.

January 2007, FPT Telecom received the Merit of Vietnam Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications for excellent contributions to the internet development in Vietnam.

June 2007, FPT Telecom officially kicked off two branches in Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces. Then, October 2007, FPT Telecom Hai Phong Branch (in the North) was officially put into operations.

September 2007, FPT Telecom and EVN Telecom entered an agreement on installation of telecom network development, hereto FPT Telecom hires international lease line of EVN Telecom at 2,5GB capacity, totaling more than USD20 million worth within three years.

October 2007, FPT Telecom was granted permit on ‘Installing and Providing Telecom Services’, hereto FPT Telecom finalizes its own investment, setting up toll and international telecom network, connecting with other countries, providing direct services and offering telecom service sales.

In addition to connection services, FPT Telecom also sets out long run orientations on Internet - based value - added services e-solutions, website designs for organizations and enterprises like website design, domain name, website storage, date building, on purpose e-mail, invisible e-mail, private server rental./
