"Japan IT Week 2013" is held from 23 to 26 October in Hanoi and Da Nang. This is a great opportunity for over 200 Vietnamsese IT enterprises to join the event, which is held to catch the wave of seeking partners in the region by Japanese enterprises as their China-to-others cooperation switch.

With more than $130 billion of IT expense, Japan is ranked third in the world following the United States and Europe. According to Vietnam Software Association (VINASA), Vietnam is facing a great opportunity to expand its gloabl markets and increase IT cooperation with Japan in both width and depth. Vietnam has surpassed India to become Japan’s second largest software partner after China.
The Vietnamese software businesses reported strong increase in revenues from the Japanese market. As the largest software company in Southeast Asia, over 50% of FPT Software’s revenue was made up by the Japanese market.
VINASA Chairman Truong Gia Binh said: "If Y2K (a computer crash in 2000) is an opportunity for India to create a breakthrough to become an IT power, the wave of seeking long-term foreign partners by Japanese firms will be a great opportunity for ASEAN countries, particularly Vietnam. It is essential that Vietnam must be determined and ready enough to seize it."
