JISA Chairman become member of FPT’s BOD

Mr. Tomokazu Hamaguchi, the newly-appointed member of FPT’s Board of Directors (BOD), is a well-known person in the field of IT.

FPT’s BOD approved the appointment of Mr. Tomokazu Hamaguchi, Chairman of JISA- the largest non-profit organization of Japan's IT industry, as a temporary member of the BOD.

Accordingly, besides performing the work of members of the BOD, Mr. Hamaguchi will consult and direct implementation of the global strategy of the Company, especially in Japan.

The BOD will submit the appointment of Mr. Tomokazu Hamaguchi as an official member of the BOD in term of 2012 – 2017 for approval at the latest General Meeting of Shareholders.

Mr. Tomokazu Hamaguchi was a former CEO of the company NTTData (Japan)-the 6th largest global IT services company (from 2003 to 2007)

Earlier, the BOD approved the resignation letters of two BOD members Truong Dinh Anh and Le Nu Thuy Duong. They were not members of FPT Corporation’s Board of Directors as from June 30.

Thus, FPT’s BOD consists of 6 members including Chairman Truong Gia Binh, Vice Chairman Bui Quang Ngoc and members Do Cao Bao, Le Song Lai, Jean-Charles Belliol and Tomokazu Hamaguchi.

The newly-appointed member of FPT’s Board of Directors (BOD), is a well-known person in the field of IT. He was a former CEO of was a former CEO of the company NTTData (Japan)-the 6th largest global IT services company (from 2003 to 2007). NTT Data is under Japan’s NTT Group, which ever ranked 32nd in the Fortune Global 500 list of 2013.

Currently, NTT Data has around 75,000 employees, operating in 40 countries around the world, with USD 13 billion in annual revenues. Mr. Hamaguchi is now a senior advisor to the company.

In addition, Mr. Hamaguchi is also CEOs of JR Higashi Nihon and IHI Corporation , one of the largest industrial equipment manufacturers in Japan . He is the incumbent Chairman of JDMC.
