At this exhibition, there will be over 50 digital artworks and designs of FPT-Arena’s students displayed in many forms: computer graphics, interactive videos, 3D image technology …
Through this exhibition, young authors will express new and creative ideas in the advertising field (advertising for oneself, enterprises, organizations, social activities…). After this exhibition, it is anticipated that this exhibition will also be re-organized at different high schools in Ho Chi Minh City.
Just do it is an annual exhibition of FPT-Arena’s students. The exhibition is the collection of graphic, interactive and skilled works in telecommunications or entertainment which are created with the help of digital technologies.
Organized the first time in 2007 and the second time in 2008, the exhibition was successful beyond anticipation with thousands of turns of visitors. The exhibition marked a change in Vietnamese modern art with the official appearance of a new art called Digital Arts.
Following these successes, this year’s exhibition with the name “Just do it” and the subject “20-09 Advertising” promises to introduce to the public many interesting things.
The previous exhibitions emphasized more on creativity and art, but at this exhibition, with the subject “20-09 Advertising”, the professionality in designs as well as ideas will be of top priority.
In Vietnamese “09” has two meanings: one is a number (09) and the other is “not ripe”. “Advertising” means “quảng cáo” in Vietnamese, and the subject creator used the word “quẳng cáo”, which may mean nearly the same as “quảng cáo”, and the verb “quẳng” also means “throw”.
The name “20-09 Advertising” sends out a very simple message: You are 20 years old, you are still young, your life experience and capacity are still limited, but what matters most is that you have the most creative ideas and capacities to contribute. What’s important is that you have the courage to do it.
Just do it! You can “throw” out some youth’s energy, some intellect, some ambitions, and some time and energy to create an advertising work, though it may not be really “ripe”, not really excellent, not really make you become famous, but it can affirm who you are and can be a step of a ladder or launching platform to take you to next successes.
The exhibition provides chances to express the youthful, active, creative, modern and break-through characters of FPTers in particular and of the young generation in general.
With such significances and values, in 2009, the exhibition Just do it: Advertising 20-09 will be a meaningful cultural activity, attracting the attention of not only many young people in the fields of graphics, communications, advertising, entertainment… but also other popular people who care about culture, art, and life of the youth.
