Launching tax project for NBR
On October 19, FPT IS and the National Board of Revenue (NBR) - the central authority for tax administration in Bangladesh held a kick-off ceremony of Bangladesh Integrated Tax Administration System (BITAS).

In addition to the high-level leaders of both sides, the ceremony was attended by the representatives of local tax authorities across Bangladesh and press agencies.
NBR chairman Md. Ghulam Husain expressed his determination to implement the project and asked the representatives of local tax authorities to raise awareness of IT learning from FPT IS. At the same time, he also expected that each employee of both sides put their self-awareness at the highest level, always ready for assist and cooperation.
Early September, FPT IS officially announced it had successfully bid for a USD6.6 million contract to provide and deploy an Integrated Tax Administration System for the Income Tax Department in the Bangladesh National Board of Revenue.
After 16 months, the system is expected to serve 1200 tax officers, 3 million taxpayers and around 650 local tax authorities in Bangladesh.
