Launching the first Centralized IT Zone in Hanoi
In the morning of October 8, Ministry of Information and Communications granted the certificate to recognize Cau Giay Small Industrial & Handicraft Cluster as Centralized IT Zone. This is the first Centralized IT Zone in Hanoi and the third in the country to be recognized following Quang Trung Software Park (HCMC) and Da Nang Software Park (Da Nang City).

Accordingly, organizations and individuals investing and operating in Cau Giay cluster will enjoy the preferential policies of the State for high-tech zones such as reduction and exemption in taxes and land rent etc. Also they have advantages in terms of brand when dealing with foreign partners.
"We believe that enterprises located in Cau Giay Centralized IT Zone will improve their positions. This will be an attractive destination of IT companies at home and abroad", Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong said.
On behalf of the businesses in the Cau Giay cluster, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh stated: “Cau Giay is considered the software center of the country. Thousands of programmers try their best to develop software industry and contribute more than VND 4, 000 billion to the state budget every year”.
Cau Giay Small Industrial & Handicraft Cluster is located in an area of 8.35 ha, in Dich Vong Ward, Cau Giay district (Hanoi) founded on July 31, 2001. There are many IT buildings and IT businesses operating here namely Viettel, FPT, Harmony, Elcom, Misa with workforce accounting for 61.66% of the total labor.
FPT’s headquarters at 89 Lang Ha were moved to FPT Cau Giay building in 2007. In this area, in addition to a 16-storey building home to more than 2,000 employees, FPT hires more offices in the buildings including Zodiac, Tien Phong and Thanh Cong.
To date, FPT has two buildings in IT zones including FPT Cau Giay in Hanoi and Massda in Da Nang Software Park.
