Leaders from FPT and Samsung Get Together
Mr. Chung Ihnchul, Vice President of Samsung Corp., and representatives from Samsung Vina have paid a working visit to the FPT Corporation and attended a meeting held at the offices of FPT Mobile. FPT Corporation’s General Manager Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Vice General Manager Mr. Le Quang Tien, and FPT’s Board of Management gave Mr. Chung a warm welcome at the meeting, held to reiterate the importance of the partnership between Samsung and FPT.

Addressing the gathering, FPT’s General Manager Mr. Binh said he believes that the relationship between the two sides can only strengthen in the future and continue to be mutually beneficial. Regarding its plans for globalization, FPT views Samsung as one of its strategic partners and being Samsung’s mobile phone supplier in Vietnam as one of its core business activities. “The two sides must find the most suitable and effective way to expand the business,” Mr. Binh emphasized.
Mr. Chung expressed his appreciation of the role played by FPT Corp, especially FPT Mobile’s efforts in making Samsung mobile phones become a well-known and popular brand in Vietnam . Samsung will continue to engage FPT as sole official distributor in the country and hopes to improve its market share locally.
Samsung also introduced ten new mobile phone models to mark the occasion, to be distributed in Vietnam by FPT during the second half of 2006. FPT Mobile is more than prepared for the race to the end of the year, during which time it will open two more “Samsung Mobile Plazas” in Hai Phong city and Can Tho province, providing sales and after-sales services.
