MegaME –ADSL pack with fastest speed for sending and receiving data

Installation will take 2 to 5 days. FPT is also offering a special promotional program for customers signing an installation contract and purchasing an ADSL modem from FPT.

- Customers signing contracts to pay all costs will be provided one month’s use for free (valued at VND375,000).

- Customers signing contracts to pay for each Megabyte transfer will be provided the first month’s use of the service for free.

Each customer registering to use the service for the first time will be provided an account for an online game called Thien Long Bat Bo ( www.tl.game.vn ), which is exclusively provided by FPT in Vietnam .

MegaMe is completely compatible with the IPTV (Internet TV) services of FPT Telecom. Customers in Hanoi can watch programs of Ho Chi Minh Television and customers in Ho Chi Minh City are able to watch programs of Hanoi Television or those from other localities such as Ha Tay, Binh Duong, and Dong Nai. When buying the IPTV decoding kit (IPTV Setop Box), customers will be able to link to TV and also use special programs provided by FPT such as online television (41 international and national channels), TV on Demand (TVoD), Video on Demand (VoD), Music on Demand (MoD), and Voice of Vietnam radio programs, send messages (I-messenger), and view and share photo albums (I-Album)...

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Vice Director of FPT Telecom’s Hanoi branch said: “ADSL MegaME is aimed at families and students with low cost installation and the fastest speed. This is a good chance for students to have Internet access in their home for the summer holidays, to broaden their knowledge and satisfy their entertainment needs.” 

From 1 June 2007 , FPT Telecom will provide two other channels to connect to the Internet with a bandwidth of 310 Mbps, raising the total connection bandwidth of FPT Telecom to 3Gbps.

Customers will not only have the chance to install ADSL MegaMe at a low cost but also enjoy faster connection speeds. FPT was not affected by the recent problem with sea cables. All connection gates are operating smoothly and Internet based activities are unaffected.

To satisfy the increasing demand for the Internet, on June 13 FPT Telecom will open two new branches in Binh Duong province (217B Yersin, Phu Cuong Ward, Thu Dau Mot) and Dong Nai province (105B, Highway 1, Quyet Thang Ward, Bien Hoa city). In the north, FPT Telecom will open a branch in Hai Phong city (186 Van Cao). From now to the end of the year FPT Telecom will expand its ADSL services in Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Long An and Vung Tau provinces.

It is expected that in the third quarter of this year FPT Telecom will supply fixed WiMAX services in Binh Duong province. One hundred customers will be able to register for a trial at FPT Telecom in Binh Duong province from June 13.

In 2007 it is estimated that FPT Telecom will sign up approximately 330,000 subscribers. To date, ADSL services have been provided to customers in ten packs: MegaNet, MegaOffice, MegaBiz, MegaPublic, MegaStyle, MegaYou, MegaHome, MegaPlay, MegaStyle+, and MegaMe.
