Merging FPT Software and FPT IS in Singapore

FPT Corporation’s the Board of Directors (BOD) just adopted the proposal of merging FPT Software Asia Pacific Pte.Lte and FPT Information System Singapore Pte.Ltd into FPT Asia Pacific Pte.Ltd (standing by FPT APAC). The move was aimed at strengthening and consolidating FPT’s position in Singapore market, then creating a launcher for FPT to expand business and investment in other countries in the region.

The establishment of FPT Software Asia Pacific in 2007 helped FPT become Vietnam’s first company to possess an office in Singapore. In 2011, FPT IS Singapore with its independent legal status, representing FPT IS in Singapore market, was also run.

That two FPT’s member units were established in Singapore showed FPT’s determination in bring its IT services and software products to this country.

After 7 years of presence in this market, FPT was listed together with other 8 IT companies in Singapore qualified to provide IT application development and system conversion services to Singapore Government as well as maintained the double-digit growth. Recently, the company also won a project worth more than USD 2 million to convert SharePoint application for Singapore government.

Singapore is one of key markets toward the goal of Sing 100 (gaining USD 100 million in revenue). This was the first market where FPT transferred from mandated software service to overall IT service provider as well as considered as a launcher to lift FPT up to a total IT service provider for the whole Asia - Pacific region.
