Minister of Information and Communication visits FPT University
The Minister of Information and Communication, Le Doan Hop, visited FPT University on the afternoon of May 6 to meet with the students and work with the management board.

This visit reflects his interest in the training of high quality human resources to work towards the Government's initiative to make Vietnam “a powerful IT country.”
He was welcomed by FPT Chairman Mr. Truong Gia Binh, FPT Corporation Senior Vice President, Ms. Chu Thanh Ha, and director of the FPT University, Dr. Le Truong Tung. Minister Hop worked with FPT University's management board for two hours on training of highly qualified IT personnel to meet the goal of training a million IT experts by 2020.
During the working session, Dr. Tung presented the operational model and achievements of FPT University over the last five years and reported to Minister Hop on the progress of the construction of the university in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park. Aiming to be the largest and best university for IT training within the next five years, FPT University has invested in top quality lecturers and educational materials to improve the quality of its training and facilities for long term development.
After the preliminary report by FPT University, Minister Hop shared his comments about the university, noting that FPT University has a broad vision and an appropriate model, good direction, efficient methods and a well known trademark. “These are all important factors for the success of FPT University during time,” he added.
