More than 160 companies attended Vietnam IT Day in Japan

The Vietnam IT Day in Japan 2013 onFebruary 26 in Tokyo attracted the attendance of 207 representatives fromJapanese companies and ten member companies of Vietnam Software Association(VINASA), including prestigious brand names such as NTT, Canon, Panasonic,Toshiba, and Sumitomo.

The event was organized by FPT incooperation with the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) and Nikkei Computer,the leading IT magazine in Japan.

Vietnam IT Day in Japan 2013 wasorganized to attract the attention and investment from Japanese entrepreneursin Vietnam’s IT market. The event also reflects the active engagement ofVietnamese enterprises to explore development opportunities in the country ofthe cherry blossoms.

This is one among various eventsheld to promote the software engineering industry of Vietnam to Japanese marketin 2013.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh, VINASA’s Chairman,Chairman and CEO of FPT Corporation said: “Vietnam ICT Day in Japan 2013 attractedthe attendance of 167 Japanese enterprises, which shows their great attentionto Vietnamese market".

In his opinion, Vietnameseenterprises are prepared for a more comprehensive cooperation with Japanesecompanies in terms of human resources; implementation of key IT infrastructureprojects in the fields of healthcare, government, education; and new technologytrends such as Mobility , Cloud Computing , and Big Data .

Currently, FPT has undertaken theinitiative to cooperate with prestigious university to educate students in the Made-to- order format, which combinesRecruitment and Enrolment (ie, the students become the company’s employees whenthey are still learning) to work in the Japanese market. In FPT Universityonly, there are about 6,000 students learning Japanese, accounting for 40% oftotal number of students of the university.
