Myanmar and HR prospect for FPT Software

In the middle of September, leaders of FPT Software's Technology Training Center went on a mission trip to Myanmar to assess the resources overview here. CEO of FPT Myanmar Bui Thi Hong Lien played role of bridge between the delegation and IT firms, recruitment companies and a number of universities in the city of Yangon.

FPT Software stated that Myanmar has abundant human resource.

Myanmar’s population of 60 million, 6 million of which living in Yangon, will be the plentiful resource for FPT Software. In particular, the number of people needing jobs is large while costs are lower than in Vietnam.

A world of opportunity to expand labor supply with reasonable price and guaranteed quality in Myanmar are waiting for FPT Software. Japan and other capitalist countries are also interested in this market. If FPT Software decides to invest in Myanmar, it must face many difficulties and challenges, especially the poor infrastructure and the competition with many other foreign investors as Myanmar is thought to bring many business opportunities.

Besides the mission trip, FPT Software’s Technology Training Center also has its recruitment information posted on the websites of Myanmar. There have been about 50 applicants so far. It is expected that FPT Software will have the first Myanmar staffs to work in Vietnam in the near future.
