In the afternoon of June 9, Deputy General Director of FPT Duong Dung Trieu and CEO of FPT Myanmar Doan Nhat Minh welcomed the high-level Myanmar delegation to visit FPT Cau Giay bulding, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.

The visit of Minister at the President Office Dr San Lwin is part of his business trip to Vietnam. Some officials from Myanmar Embassy in Vietnam and Ministry of Commerce of Myanmar also participated in the meeting. Earlier, the Editor-in-Chief of Mizzima News made a visit to FPT Online late May.

Mr. Dr San Lwin’s visit showed Myanmar’s attention to FPT Corporation. Earlier, FPT University and Victoria University College officially launched an educational institution named Victoria - FPT University in Yangon in March 2014.

Deputy General Director of FPT cum Chairman of FPT Myanmar Duong Dung Trieu and CEO of FPT Myanmar Doan Nhat Minh introduced FPT’s strengths in this country. Mr. Trieu hoped that with a better understanding of FPT, the Myanmar side would have taken action to help the Corp in spreading its image here.

In February 2013, FPT Board of Directors approved the plan to open representative office in Myanmar and formally established a legal entity in July. FPT expects to have the opportunity to experience one more spectacular growth in this country like in Vietnam 2003-2007.

FPT Myanmar represents the Corp to establish relationships with the government, ministries and ICT associations, customer with demands for IT application here. This market is reached by FPT IS, FPT Trading, FPT University, FPT Software and FPT Telecom. According to Mr. Trieu, in 2014, the revenue from the country reached USD 13.5 million, more than USD 10 million of which came from Distribution sector.
