Last June, the renowned Finnish mobile phone vendor- Nokia- sold its luxury mobile phone brand Vertu to EQT Partners AB of Sweden at an approximate sum of €200 million (about US$ 250 million).
According to Nguyen Duy Hung, F9 Deputy Director, Nokia’s selling the Vertu division to focus on its restructure will cause tiny effect on FPT.
FPT has been the authorized distributor of Vertu mobile phone in Vietnam since 2006. Recently, the company has opened four showrooms to sell this luxury phone in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
