One more steel enterprise implements ERP
FPT IS will implement an ERP system with SAP solutions for SMC Trading Investment Joint-stock Company based on a contract signed between the two companies on November 8, 2010. The project is expected to be completed within 8 months.

SMC Trading Investment Joint-stock Company is a steel producer, processor, and distributor with five subsidiaries; its revenue in 2009 was VND 5.200 billion.
FPT IS previously implemented the SAP ERP solution successfully for
the ThepViet Steel Corporation Mr. Do Duy Thai, CEO of ThepViet Steel
Corporation, praised FPT IS saying, "the SAP ERP solution FPT IS
implemented is a very efficient system which saves money and has
improved the transparency of ThepViet Steel Corporation." The project
for SMC asserts FPT IS's position for implementing ERP systems for the
steel industry and contributes to realizing FPT IS's ERP strategy to
specialize in developing management solutions in major economic sectors
in the 2010-2014 period.
