Press release: FPT earned VND 760 billion in profit-before-tax after fourmonths

Finishing four months, the Corporation’s total revenuereached VND 7,618 billion, completing 106% and 28% of plan for four months andthe entire year, respectively. Profit-before-tax was VND 760 billions,completing 101% of four-month-plan and 29% of year plan and increasing 1% comparedto the same period last year. Profit-after-tax was recorded at VND 622 billion,bringing 464 billion in profit-after-tax for parent company and completing 28%and 27% of year plan respectively. Earning per share (EPS) after four monthsreached 1,694 dongs, completing 27% of year plan

The Company’s service and software businesses remainedsteady growth despite difficult economic context, where software outsourcingincreased 39% compared to the same period of the prior year. Software developmentfor domestic market and IT services grew 76% and 24% respectively when comparedto the same period in 2012. Telecommunications service also maintained goodgrowth rate at 17% compared to last year’s period.

HIGHLIGHT ACTIVITIES IN APRIL

FPT WON NINE SAO KHUE AWARDS 2013

In the Tenth Sao Khue season 2013 organized on April 21, FPTCorporation made outstanding progress by winning nine awards and continued tobe the leading company in terms of the number of awards achieved.

Three FPT’s new products starred this year includes FPT.ePOS(developed by FPT IS), a general solution for management of sales and marketingfor telecom service providers, FShare –online data storage and sharing service,and Cloud IP Camera (by FPT Telecom).

These products had been developed by FPT IS and FPT Telecomfor a long time and have gained impressive result. FPT.ePOS and Cloud IP Camerahave taken up remarkable market share while Fshare has been subscribled with 1.3million accounts, being the No. 1 service of FPT Telecom in term of number ofusers.

Other six awarded products made by FPT include: Domain/Hosting;Data Center; ADSL and FTTH Internet Service (by FPT Telecom); and Academic andNon-academic IT training by FPT University.

Telecommunications

FPT TELECOM EXPECTS DIVIDENT TO BE PAID AT NO LESS THAN 25%

On April 2, the General Shareholder Meeting of FPT Telecomtook place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City through the Telepresence system. Themeeting was attended by 28 shareholders, representing 96.8% of total shares.

The GSM approved the plan for dividend payment, incentive,and bonus and welfare budget in 2013. Accordingly, the shareholders willreceive cash dividend for the entire year at the rate of no less than 2,500dongs per share.

In addition to possession of infrastructure made throughbuying stake in the AAG international cable system in 2008, FPT Telecom hascompleted and brought into operation the North-South cable system in September 2012.With a clear strategy to expand network coverage, FPT has developed itsbusiness presence from 48 cities and provinces throughout the country. Thecompany is also opening its business in a number of countries within the region.

FPT SOFTWARE GREW 44% IN Q1, 2013

Finishig the first three months of 2013, FPT Software wasthe first company of the group to achieve both revenue and profit targets. Thecompany earned USD 23.6 million, an increase of 44% compared to the same periodlast year. The number of employees increased 43% to 4,603 people.

The company’s growth in the first quarter mostly happned inJapan and US market. At the moment, the company is building a training centerin FPT Da Nang and F-Ville(in Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park, Hanoi) to create the most favourable workingenvironment for its employees. It also boosts investment in an R&Dcenter based in the U.S. (under the management of FPT School of Business- FSB)to keep pace with new technology trends in the world and, at the same time,develop new DMS solutions. FPT Software targets to earn USD 100 million ofrevenue in 2013.

FPT SOFTWARE ATTENDED CAREER DAY IN HO CHI MINH CITY

On April 21, FPT Software attended the career day organizedby IT Department, Ho Chi Minh City National University. There were about 2,000students from various universities and colleges in the city attending theevent. This was a good opportunity for them to access recruitment informationfrom FPT Software as well as other IT companies in the city.

Particularly, the students were introduced with F-Seedprogram that would be organized by FPT Software in Ho Chi Minh City in 2013 tobring applicants with interesting experiences. It would combine a company tourwith friendly meetings with the management board for outstanding students.

System Integration

FPT IS INTRODUCED E-SERVICE PACKAGE

FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) became the firstcompany to introduce e-service package including digital signature (FPT.CA),electronic tax declaration (FPT.eTax) and electronic customs declaration(FPT.eCustoms) on April 25.

This marked significant development of FPT IS in providingprofessional and high quality e-services based on advanced security technologyand its intensive experiences in taxation and customs for the past twentyyears.

The integration of three services into one single packagepromises to bring corporate customers with optimum services and benefits. Itnot only facilitates customers with easier and more flexible usage but alsoensures full compliance with international quality standard thank to theEvaluation Assurance Level 4+ (EAL4+).

As all services are bundled on the all-in-one basis, FPT IScan now serve the customers faster and more effectively.

Furthermore, the company will provide onsite 24/7 servicesat no charge for customers, especially in case of technical problems.

THE LARGEST ERP PROJECT SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED IN VIETNAM

The project “Implementation of Enterprise resourcesmanagement system” for Petrolimex that has the greatest value in ERP industryof Vietnam was summed up on April 16. FPT IS, as the prime contractor, hadimplemented the SAP Oil & Gas solution including modules for MaterialManagement; Sales & Distributions; Financial; Controlling andTransportation.

The Petrolimex ERP project worth nearly USD 13 million wassigned in November 2009. The project hasbeen implemented in large scope and scale including 111 locations forapproximately 1,500 users at the head office and 42 subsidiaries as well asbranches, factories, and warehouses across the nation.

This project aimed to develop and ensure the coherentapplication of ERP functional workflows for every subsidiaries and units withinthe corporation for better operation and facilitate the decision-making process.Using this ERP system, corporate information is centrally integrated and sharedamong divisions to create reliable and timely reports. This project is expectedto help Petrolimex with logical workflow control and transparent job assignmentmechanism.

FPT IS IMPLEMENTS ERP SYSTEM FOR THANG LONG CEMENT

On April 5, the project to implement SAP ERP for Thang LongCement JSC was officially launched by FPT IS at Geleximco Building, 36 Hoang Cau,Hanoi.

The project aims to standardize the company’s professionalprocesses, intergrating all functional procedures and unifying allcommunication processes between Thang Long Cement and Semen Gresik; and enhanceinformation security.

The project would be implemented on three sites of thecompany in Hanoi, Quang Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City within only four months.

FPT UNIVERSITY AND VCCI TO JOINTLY TEACH BUSINESS START-UP

FPT University and VCCI to jointly teach business start-up

In April, FPT University and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce andIndustry (VCCI) signed the agreement to provide the Start Your Bussiness (SYB)subject for FPT students, in which the course book is composed by VCCI. Theprogram was expected to start in May 2013.

Business start-up is one the first subjects taught at FPTUniversity since its early days to provide students with fundamental knowledgeon business and business start-up, which would help student successfullyrealize their business ideas in the future. For the past years, graduates fromFPT University are always welcomed by FPT Corporation and other enterprises andthey have been keeping important positions. Especially, there have been a largenumber of FPT students who run their own business of different scales.
