FPT’s revenue and PBT in August 2019 increased by 17.1% and 29.9% year on year (YoY), achieved VND 2,289 billion and VND 454 billion, respectively. In 8M2019, revenue and PBT increased by 21.1% and 27.9% YoY, achieved VND 17,032 billion and VND 2,992 billion, equal to 104.2% and 110.9% of the year to date (YTD) target.
Profit after tax (PAT) and PAT attributed to parent company’s shareholders was VND 2,495 billion and VND 2,004 billion, up 27.0% and 29.5% YoY, respectively. EPS was VND 2,961, up 29.0% YoY. Moreover, the PBT margin was improved to 17.6% (16.6% in 8M2018).
Financial performance by sector: Technology sector’s PBT soared by 43.4% YoY
As a key growth diver of FPT, Technology sector recorded revenue and PBT of VND 9,530 billion and VND 1,237 billion, equal to 104% and 108% of the YTD target, up 25.9% and 43.4% YoY, respectively. In which, the IT services from global market recorded revenue of VND 6,798 billion, up 34.8% YoY. PBT was VND 1,064 billion, up 37.6% YoY. In August 2019, FPT entered into the two digital transformation agreements with DPDgroup - Europe’s second-largest parcel delivery network and RWE – Germany's largest utilities.
Telecom sector had its revenue up 17.3%, to VND 6,678 billion, equal to 103% of the YTD target. PBT was VND 1,128 billion, equal to 107% of the YTD target, up 13.5% YoY. In which, Telecom services’ revenue and PBT reached VND 6,307 billion and VND 938 billion, up 17.6% and 16.4% YoY, respectively.
Financial performance by market: Overseas markets' PBT up 34.3% YoY
In 8M2019, overseas markets brought FPT with revenue of VND 7,173 billion, up 30.8% YoY and PBT of VND 1,144 billion, up 34.3% YoY. The overseas revenue and PBT contributed 42% and 38% to the Corporation's performance, respectively (In 8M2018, the proportions were 39% and 36%).
