Record service contract
On 20 May, FPT Information System (in short FPT IS) was informed to be the winner of a service tender of approximately VND 200 billion offered by a financial institution. The value of this package has broke n the record of IT service contracts won by FPT IS, FPT and other IT firms in Vietnam.

Two subsidiaries of FPT IS namely FIS Bank and FIS Services are cooperating in performing this contract.
This is the package to provid e warranty and maintenance services for various categories including server system, network system, security system and mission-critical equipment, which is expected to be deployed within 3 years.
"FPT IS was selected as a partner to deploy this package because it can meet various requirements on huge number of qualified experts with in-depth knowledge and professional procedures under international standards, with a network of branches and warranty centers nationwide that is able to provide warranty services for a huge number of servers, network and security systems and special equipment system…of customers across the whole country" said FPT IS Deputy General Director Nguyen Thanh Trung.
Three years ago, the biggest service contract carried out by FPT IS was signed with Vietcombank in the Project "Maintenance of Core Banking Server System, Switching Server System and Payment System for Vietcombank" with a value of VND 97 billion, which has been implemented since August 2007. In 2009, the services accounted for 5.3% of FIS’ revenue , equivalent to VND 183 billion. This number is expected to hit VND 270 billion in 2010.
In the coming time, FPT IS will expand its service network to Binh Duong and Quang Ninh provinces, increasing the total number of service providing locations to 11 provinces and cities nationwide.
