To sail successfully through the big sea, FPT requires thorough preparation as globalization is not a path lined with roses. During the journey, FPT will encounter a large number of risks.

The riot caused by migrant workers in Singapore and the Boston Marathon terror attack in the U.S. will make the two governments tighten immigration regulations.
This will make it difficult for FPT Asia Pacific (FAP) to get more staffs. Currently, FAP has 100 staffs and it is expected to recruit 50 more people for projects by 2015.
Being sued is another great risk in the region. This risk is always hidden in the international business environment as well as posed by all objects including customers, partners, suppliers and even former employees.
Human resource is also an obstacle FPT may face. There are some skills FPT has not yet owned due to entering more developed business environment. Therefore, FPT has to compete with other companies in order to find high-quality human resources to meet them.
To deal with the above risks, FAP has some preparation. Accordingly, the company has tracked the Singapore Government’s immigration regulations. “FAP is also preparing several preventive measures as well as strengthening local forces to resist changes better,” FAP Director Nguyen Hoang Trung revealed.
Regarding legal issues, FPT Software has developed a Legislation Department and a series of regulations on contract management and evaluation to mitigate these risks. Buying risk insurance is considered the last preventive measure.
Currently, FAP has signed many contracts with headhunter companies from India. FAP Director said that with their IT service experience exceeding Vietnam, Indian resources proved to meet requirements of specialized skills better.
"It is difficult to answer which risk is the biggest. We often fear what you do not know. I think the biggest risk is something we have not seen and taken any preventive measure for it", said Trung.
