'Sao Khue Award recognizes the success of R&D'

The“newly starred" products and services of FPT at Sao Khue Award 2013 - FPT.ePOS,Fshare and Cloud IP Camera, have been researched and developed for a long time.

In the evening of April 21, Sao Khue Award 2013 was held at Studio S4, Vietnam Digital Television VTC. FPT continued being a leading unit in the 10thsession of Sao Khue Award for its nine products and services were honored.

In addition to traditional products and services such as ADSL, Data Center,Domain, IT Training services, etc., in this year, three new products of FPT have been "starred", namely FPT.ePOS (Centralized sales and marketing system) (FPT IS), Fshare (online content storage and sharing service) and 24/7Supervision service Cloud IP Camera (FPT Telecom). Such products have been researched by FPT IS and FPT Telecom for a long time and they have given impressive results in the first stage.

In addition to these three new products, in this time six services of FPT continued to be "starred", namely Domain/Hosting services (FPT Telecom), Data Center (FPT Telecom), ADSLand Fiber Optic Internet FTTH (FPT Telecom), Regular and Non-regular IT Training Services (FPT University).

In this year, the most prestigious awards for IT products and services - Sao KhueAward - have had 10 years of history. "Through ten years of Sao Khue Award, the society has a truer viewon the development of software and IT services industry in Vietnam. Starting asa new economic industry, with only over 50 million USD of revenue in 2002,until 2012, the number was 2.3 billion USD with hundreds of thousand high-qualified labors, contributing considerably to the development and modernization of the country". Said Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan.

Inthe view on the incoming period, President of Vietnam Software and IT ServicesAssociation (VINASA) Truong Gia Binh said: "I have a really deep feeling that IT and Software industry has a special mission to the development of thecountry, that is to bring fame to Vietnam within the next 10 years".

He acknowledged that cloud computing, mobile technology, great data will help Vietnam "improve itself" just like the case of Y2K event (globa lcomputer problem) turning India into an IT power.
