Seminar “Effective application of information technology in management and execution of the Capital’s education”

The seminar was attended by representatives of Hanoi Department of Education and Training, FPT University, and enteprises working in IT industry and one hundred high school principals in Hanoi area.

The seminar aimed to find out solutions to improvement of IT application in mangement and training of the capital’s education in general and high schools in particular. At the seminar, a number of issues were proposed including application of information technology in teaching and managing educational bases; outlook of IT application in the capital education management and execution; and typical IT applications. In addition, this is also an occasion for the schools’ leaders to discuss and share experiences in these issues.

Mr. Duong Dzung Trieu, General Director of FPT Information System Corporation, on behalf of FPT Group, committed to support the Department of Education and Training and high schools to develop a detailed implementation scheme for application of information technology in education management.

Recently, FPT University has been deploying a series of IT applications such as e-library, student profile management, e-examination, ISO quality system, HR management, CMS online study system and a diveristy of multi- media applications. Students are fully supported with laptops and internet access to faciliate their study with effective application of information technology.

In addition, FPT University has organized a number of activities to support high schools by offering IT courses for IT teachers across the nation, hosting Informatics Olympic FU-HAOI for high school students in the area of Hanoi.

To help the schools understand the implementation method of IT applications, detailded introduction on the applications such as: E-learning, exam bank a nd e-library was also made by enterprises’ representatives.
