Seventy percent of households to use pay TV by 2020

According to Electronic Portal of the Government, the Prime Minister has approved the up-to-2020 planning on radio and television wave transmission and broadcasting in Decision No. 1448.

Pay TV Service aims to "antitrust".

As shown by the planning, there will be approximately 60% - 70% of households to use pay-TV services in the next 3 years at reasonable prices while the "non-exclusive" television market is to be formed in Vietnam.

Pay TV services in Vietnam are being offered in such various forms as Digital Satellite Television, Digital Terrestrial Television, Cable Television and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV).
