SMAC Challenge Finals take place early November

On November 2nd, the Finals of SMAC Challenge 201 will take place at the Cau Giay Gymnasium, Hanoi.

The 4 teams of FPT University, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Vietnam Academy of Military Technology and University of Engineering and Technology are ready to join the Finals of SMAC Challenge 2014. The final round consists of 3 parts including Art, Intelligence and Strength.

At Art, each team will be expected to create and develop one dance for Robot. At Intelligence, teams will develop applications to help Robots listen to and answer random questions from the Organizers. Finally, teams will compete to find way in the maze and complete a task given by the Organizers.

This year’s prizes include the first worth VND 15 million, the second worth 10 million and the third worth VND 5 million. Students who participate in developing products in SMAC Challenge will have the opportunity to work and cooperate with FPT Technology Committee right after the contest.

In addition to exciting and breathless battles, participants will have a meeting with FPT CTO Nguyen Lam Phuong; “Professor” Cu Trong Xoay, singer Dinh Manh Ninh and dance ST 319 band.

“The contest aimed to create an interesting and rewarding playground for ICT students as well as encourage the spirit of study and research of the youth. At the same time, FPT hopes to find and train talents in the field of technology, especially SMAC,” Director of Technology Research Institute Tran The Trung said.
