Smart TV Alliance use FPT Cloud Services
Surpassing 10 technology giants from the UK, South Korea, the U.S. and Japan, FPT Software under FPT Corporation has became the first Vietnamese business to win deployment project of cloud services for Smart TV Alliance (STA).

The project is considered an important boost in STA’s development history as it enables to develop applications for Smart TV platforms under the only standard. This is expected to draw attention of thousands of programmers in the world and open a new era of Smart TV.
Accordingly, FPT Software will develop both Cloud-based portals to support TV app developers and app stores to supply TV manufacturers and consumers globally, provide annual development support services as well as give quality assurance of applications before their entering the app store.
Portals and app stores run by FPT Software are expected to promote the integration of technology and community, attract more app developers and create a fair competitive environment, then empowering each manufacturer of the alliance.
The leading technologies FPT will provide for STA has been tested through the project implementation for customers from U.S., Japan and Europe. Before this project, FPT Software gained the right to deploy RQ1 - Renovation project for a customer in U.S. with over 20 years’ experience in providing software for property-value insurance. At the end of 2012, the company successfully implemented several Cloud-based applications for many end-products including TVs, tablets and smartphones and some major clients specializing in aviation and electronics in the U.S. and Japan.
This is a key element that makes STA choose FPT Software as its partner. According to STA, FPT overcomes other rivals due to showing professional presentation skill, offering full information needed for the project and demonstrating experience and professional capacity as well as willingness to meet requirements.

According to Gartner, the cloud computing is reaching the highest growth rate in the IT market and forecasted to gain USD 8 billion in revenue by 2013 and USD 10 billion by 2014. FPT expects the revenue growth rate from Cloud Services for foreign partners will reach 3 digits by 2013.
