SMS with Emoticons
On January 1 FPT Mobile Applications under FPT Mobile launched eSMS application software for cell phones and Pocket PCs with emoticon symbols.

To install the software simply send a message with the content “ FMA ESMS” to 8313 (for a fee of VND3000 per message), and a range of humorous symbols will be transferred to your mobile phone.
Every theme group comprises various symbols. For example, under the Friendship theme users will find symbols relating to “drinking beer”, “get together for a drink”, or “fishing”. Recipients will receive the messages regardless of whether they have installed the eSMS application or not.
The eSMS software is about 7Kb, suitable for Nokia, Samsung, Motorola and Sony Ericsson cell phones, and is supported by JAVA 2.0. The eSMS interface and instructions are in Vietnamese, providing convenience to local users.
