South Korea pays attention to GIS application in FPT
The South Korea General Department of National Space Data Infrastructure Policy highly appreciated the role of FPT as a pioneer in applying GIS application in Vietnam.

On April 23, Mr. Park Moo Ik, Director of the South Korea General Department of National Space Data Infrastructure Policy and delegates from the Ministry of Land, Geographic Corporation, Space Information Promotion Center and representatives from twelve Korean enterprises visited FPT.
CEO Duong Dung Trieu of FPT Information System (FPT IS) and General Director Mai Cong Nguyen of FPT IS ERP received the delegation on be half of FPT.
The Korean delegation paid special attention to the application of GIS in Vietnam, FPT’s capability in delivering services in this field as well as cooperation opportunities between two sides. According to Trieu, FPT had intensive experience in implementing GIS projects for state agencies.
Not only exchanging information relating to the capabilities of FPT in GIS application, the Korean enterprises were also seeking for cooperation with FPT to offer satellite images provided by the South Korean.
“FPT can definitely cooperate with Korean enterprises in projects relating to satellite imaging” confirmed Nguyen.
In the same day, the Korean delegation visited FPT IS’ headquarter and GIS center in Keangnam Landmark Tower, Hanoi.
The visit to FPT of the Korean enterprises and governmental agencies was under the framework of the program “Korean U City & NSDI Vision in Vietnam” organized by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). The delegation spent three days visiting Vietnam from April 23 to 25.
