Successful deployment of Smartbank in Laos

The project team of FPT Information System for Financing & Banking Services Company (FPT-IS Bank) under FPT Information System has successfully deployed the Smartbank solution for ST Bank of ST Group in Laos.

On the opening day of July 03, 2009, in Vientiane (Laos), ST Bank was effectively operated and well served 99 customers within 4 hours with three kinds of currencies: USD, THB, LAK.

Within one month, the project team installed the system; made necessary changes; did the training and instructing job; carried out the trial operation and go-live operation; supported the go-live operation for the bank.

According to Mr. Do Hoang Duong, Vice Director of Banking Software Center under FPT-IS Bank, the success of the project team in particular and of FPT-IS Bank and FPT-IS in general was due to the enthusiasm and high-quality service.

The contract between FPT-IS and Laos ST Bank (under ST Group) was signed on February 22, 2009 in Vientiane, Laos. This contract is on the provision of the Smartbank system, including the softwares: Branch Delivery System; Trade Finance; ATM Gateway & Customer Management System; CASH... for ST Bank.
