Two FPT’s member companies get ISO 27001:2005 certified

On August 8, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) accompanied by TUV NORD granted FPT Software and FPT IS ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certificates - the International Standard for Information Security Management Systems ( ISMS ) issued by TUV NORD.

The attendants at the certification ceremony include Deputy Director General of Electronics and Information Technology Department (MIC) Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, CEO of TUV NORD in Vietnam Le Sy Trung and members of the project “ Supportive consultation in business assessment for ISO 27001 certification ” and supervision consultants. On behalf of FPT Cooperation, Deputy General Director of FPT Software Nguyen Khai Hoan and information security staffs took part in the ceremony.

Representatives of the MIC awarded ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certificate for FPT Software.
FPT Software first earned this certificate in 2006 and has successfully been re-certified on all evaluation since then. In 2007, FPT IS became ISO 27001:2005 certified. The periodic re-evaluation done every 3 years resulted in this certification time.

Certificates for the International Standard for Information Security Management Systems ( ISMS ) by TUV NORD will enable FPT’s member companies to consolidate the Information Security Management Systems in their own functions, enhance their credibility for internal bids as well as play role as passports for them to participate in globalization.
