V-Olympic launch Maths program in English

In school year 2013 – 2014, Organizers of V-Olympic Internet-based Maths Contest continue upgrading systems to control strictly exam form and ensure diversity of questions. Especially, the Maths program in English is for the first time launched for fourth and eighth grade students.

The Maths program in English is designed to help students with IT skills to access various forms of Mathematical problems in international contests.

Maths in English program includes ten rounds designed as per international courses with adequate knowledge for primary and junior high school students. The contest includes eight creative flash games and various forms of puzzles to help students review their knowledge in class as well as motivate them to solve mathematical problems.

After the final entry winning rounds to be held in schools, districts, provinces and cities, students from all corners of the country will enter the national level contest. The national level contest is expected to be held on April 25, 2014 for fifth, ninth and twelfth grade students. The Ministry will set up a scientific council to design the examination questions.

Despite not being officially launched, V-Olympic Internet-based Maths Contest 2013 attracted more than 1 million students to participate in 3 free rounds from 4 until 27 September 2013.

Following the success of "V-Olympic companion program" and "V-Olympic Day" in all big cities in the school year 2012, it is expected that Organizers along with the sponsor FPT Telecom will hold companion programs in 21 provinces and cities nationwide this year.

The number of subscribers exceeding 12 million in the school year 2012 – 2013 created a milestone of V-Olympic after 5 years of development.
