Vice President of Myanmar visited FPT Software
On March 22, the Burma delegation led by Vice President Nyan Tun visited FPT Software Ho Chi Minh City branch in Hi-tech area, district No.9, Ho Chi Minh City.

This visit is under the framework of his working visit to Vietnam in answer to the invitation of Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan. In a meeting with Vietnamese enterprises, the leader of the emerging economy disclosed that there had been huge potentials and opportunities for them in Myanmar as the country was requiring to develop both soft and hard infrastructure.
On March 20, Mr. Nyan Tun and the Burma enterprises worked with the Association of Vietnamese Investors in Myanmar (AVIM) to share information and review the cooperation progress between enterprise communities of both countries and promote trading activities in future.
It is expected that in 2013, the total investment from Vietnam to Myanmar would reach more than US$500 million and US$1 billion in 2015.
Previously, in a meeting with FPT leadership on March 20 in Hanoi, Burma Minister of Industry U Aye Myint and Deputy Minister of Planning and Development Set Aung disclosed that the country was spending great effort to develop domestic telecom system for further investment purposes.
The representative of Burma government also revealed that the country was paying great attention to the development of an e-business registration system. In response, FPT Vice President Chu Thanh Ha shared that with the experience in implementing e-government project in Vietnam, the company would be able to address the requirement of the Burma government. In addition, FPT desired to take part in other fields such as software, telecommunications, education and distribution in this country.
In late February, FPT decided to establish its representative office in Myanmar and appointed Mr. Hoang Minh Chau, Founder Member, the Chief Representative. The office is responsible to develop relationship with local government, ministries and industries, ICT associations and clients who have the requirement to apply information technology in this country.
