Vietnam’s “Silicon Valley”
With his Decision 1310/2006/QD-TTg of 24 August 2006, the Prime Minister officially gave FPT responsibility to develop and become the “investor for the Software Industry Development Zone” at the Hoa Lac High-Tech Zone on Hanoi’s outskirts.

In the master development plan for the zone, it will be divided into specific functioning areas such as a software area, an area for high-tech industries, a center for high technologies, a research and development area, a New City Center , the FPT University , and a golf course, among others.
FPT has been requested to develop an area of some 650 hectares.
