Vietnam – Russia Night in Hanoi
Hanoi, November 10 - At the Russian Scientific and Cultural Center in Hanoi, FPT Corporation held the “Vietnam – Russia Night” and the inauguration of “FPT’s Vietnam – Russia Friendship Association”. The celebration was held in a warm atmosphere, attended by FPT’s Vietnamese alumni from Russian educational institutes.

The ceremony saw the attendance of Mr. Tran Đinh Long, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam – Russia Friendship Association and Vice Chairman of the International Association for Vietnamese Graduates in Russian/ former Soviet Union, and the attendance of the representative of Russian Embassy in Vietnam, FPT’s leaders and many local Russia lovers.
About the Vietnam – Russia Friendship Association
Though the Soviet Union fell in 1991, the friendship between the peoples of Vietnam Russia Federation and old member countries of the former Soviet has continued to grow. The Vietnam – Russia Friendship Association was formed in 1994, and has become an address for former Vietnamese students and researchers in the former Soviet Union/Russia.
The Association aim is to promote the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in trade, science and technology, education and training, tourism and culture etc. as well as enhance better understanding between the two peoples, making a bridge between the two countries’ businesses and localities.
After the documentary film “Getting to know Russia”, many Russian cultural performances were made at the night including famous Russian songs and dances.
“FPT Corporation has many staff who studied in the Soviet Union. They lived and contacted with Russian people, language and culture during their youth. The establishment of the FPT’s Vietnam – Russia Friendship Association will give our employees a community where they can discuss Russia and Russian culture, to share the common values of the two cultures, and to enrich their spiritual lives”, said Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc, Deputy General Director of FPT, a former student in Russia.
“We (the Association) highly appreciate the activities and good feelings that FPT Corporation has for Russia. We trust the FPT’s unit Association will become one of the leading branches in future activities and further contribute to the friendly relationship between the two peoples”, said Mr. Tran Đinh Long, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, Vice Chairman of the International Association for Vietnamese Graduates from Russia/ former Soviet Union, also a former student in Russia
As part of the Vietnam – Russia Friendship Association, FPT’s unit Association will actively participate in the Association’s common activities, while also hosting events on special occasions. FPT will also promote relations with its Russian counterparts to find out more business opportunities in Vietnam and Russia.
