Vimap – A help for the exam season

Visky Technology Group under FPT Corporation has cooperated with “Tuổi Trẻ” Newspaper to construct a digital map on mobile phones, which can update information about 2009 university entrance exam locations.

“Vimap - A help for the exam season” is an application running on almost all mobile phones supporting JAVA MIDP 2.0 and GPRS connection. It was built on the basis of the digital map “Vimap” developed by Visky FPT.

Candidates taking part in the 2009 university entrance exam can receive information about the exam locations, locations with voluntary student teams to support candidates on their own mobile phones.

This software also has the function of working out the shortest way to the exam locations in the situation of constant traffic jams during the exam season.

In addition, it also provides information about free guest houses, exam procedures, exam schedules, as well as some other useful information.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhat, Head of Vimap Project, said: “Visky 2.0 is a project of FPT Corporation with the purpose of serving the community. We have cooperated with “Tuổi Trẻ” Newspaper and Student Support Center to build a digital map providing information for exam candidates during the 2009 exam season. Most candidates come from provinces to the cities for the first time and are not used to roads as well as exam locations. I hope that this project will partly help exam candidates feel secured and well prepared in terms of psychology for important exam subjects.”
