VTC Purchases World Cup Rights
VTC Vietnam has officially signed a contract with FPT to become the third television network to successfully buy the broadcasting rights of all 64 matches and related programs at World Cup 2006 in Germany.

Having signed the contract, VTC can confidently invest the resources required to provide information concerning the football tournament. Apart from broadcasting all 64 matches, it will also send 21 reporters and technicians to Germany , Brazil , the Netherlands and Argentina , so as to give viewers interesting background on the matches.
The Hanoi-Berlin television program, featuring discussions with Vietnamese players from different generations, will be broadcast live at 8pm on 4 June. Related programs will provide news and background stories regarding the 64 matches and the 32 teams in the World Cup 2006.
