Welcome 10,000th domain .vn customer at FPT Telecom
According to VNNIC, as late of August 31st 2007, the number of domain names .VN of FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom) reached more than 9,300 of the total 47,000 domain names, ranking first with about 20% market share.

On 19th anniversary of FPT Corporation (September 13th 1988 – September 13th 2007) and welcoming 10,000th domain name .VN, FPT Telecom offers a promotion for new customer with full of interesting prizes:
- 01 special prize for new customer ranks 10,000th: Ten registration forms free for .VN domain name; 30% discount of the first year maintenance fees (worth VND 6,300,000);
- 18 incentive prizes for new customers who rank 9,991st – 9,999th and 10,001st – 10,009th: One registration form free for .VN (worth VND450,000) for every domain name.
Mr. Trần Ngọc Quang - Head of Domain Division of FPT Telecom said: “Domain name .VN is a certain trend of internet development in Vietnam . Therefore, FPT Telecom laid special attention to developing domain registration service with aim to further meet increasing needs of enterprises, contributing to the internet development and e-commerce in Vietnam“.
“Prizes should be utilized before December 31st 2007 , and that can be offered and/or transferred to other person if the winner does not want to get his/her domain name registered earlier December 31st 2007. Rankings for prizes will be based on Vietnam Internet Center ’s statistics. Also, the company’s employees are not eligible for the promotion”.
Statistics of VNNIC say in the August 2007, FPT Telecom ranked first among the domain name provider with 607 new registrations, doubled than the second-up runner PA Vietnam (307 domain names); Mắt Bão Company (298 domain names); VDC (269 domain names); Hi-tek (265 domain names)...
