Welcome 3rd enrollment freshmen
“The world will largely be differential, some regions are full of light of intellectual, information technology and internet whereas, some is dark – that is the gap of knowledge, rich and poor. The mission to fill the gap is in your hands” said by Mr. Trương Gia Bình - General Director of FPT to freshmen on the occasion of 3rd enrollment at FPT University in the morning of November 2nd 2007.

The third enrollment freshmen in the orange uniforms with slogan “desire to change” gathered at Cau Giay Cultural Commune House to share sentiments of the first school day at FPT University. The University welcomes all freshmen and their relatives at the School Opening Ceremony which is quite friendly and solemn. The ceremony was attended and given proper attentions by top leaders of FPT Corporation such as Mr. Trương Gia Bình – General Director of FPT Corporation, Mr. Trương Thanh Thanh – Vice General Director of HoChiMinh City based FPT, leaders of FPT University, lecturers, employees, students of 1st and 2nd enrollment academic year.
There was a ceremony of saluting noble flag, the first school drums, freshmen got new feelings as the moment marks their milestone and new responsibility that they are going to take. Mr. Trương Gia Bình shared his impression to freshmen on his witness at Google Company: there was a very big screen displaying a large globe with reflecting lights but not in all corners. The screen is not an artistic work but it is a picture describing internet use in the globe and at the moment of witnessing. FPT Corporation and FPT University bets on education and training, information technology development, therefore all students will be contributors to the light of Information technology of Vietnam on the common globe.
Sharing aspirations of the corporation and university, Nguyễn Hữu Quyên – one of new freshmen said: “My hometown is very poor so personal computer is very expensive to poor pupils. I am really interested in information technology and to follow it I must look for the best I/T University in Vietnam. I chose FPT University and will try best to learn. I believe that we will realize the aspiration if we try hard”.
Also at the opening, FPT University granted full scholarship and credit loans for representatives of all freshmen, and then hundreds of students flowed on the stage to sing the song of FPT University with all employees and leaders of the corporation and university.
Afterwards, all freshmen will participate in two-week training course on university learning methods, scientific backgrounds of human development, school health care, information related to their profession, the corporation and university./
