Chairman of FPT: “Need to inspire digital transformation for business"

On May 12, 2021, the representative of Vietnam's IT industry, Chairman of FPT Truong Gia Binh introduced the potential and opportunities for Vietnam's digital transformation at the online event Virtual Vietnam Access Days organized by Viet Capital, an annual event to connect the foreign investor community and leading enterprises in Vietnam. The event attracted about 200 professional investors, investment funds, foreign investors…, who are interested in the digital transformation process in Vietnam in general, as well as leading the digital transformation of FPT in particular.

According to Mr. Binh, digital transformation has become a popular topic in socio-economic life in Vietnam. The importance and determination of the Government to carry out digital transformation has been reflected in the "National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with orientation to 2030" as well as the operations of businesses and organizations around the country.

The McKinsey survey found that 76% of business leaders either have or at least planned to increased IT applications to adapt to the new normal. In which, businesses in the fields of banking, insurance, healthcare, retail and consumption have the highest application rates, being 85%, 82%, 81% and 79% respectively.

Vietnam has the power to transform, the problem is determination. Inspirations are needed for businesses to understand that digital transformations are not to be feared.
