FPT CEO: "No data sharing, no digital transformation"

During the discussion on digital transformation at 'Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2021' on January 10^th, FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa and other speakers shared about the importance and factors that make digital transformation successful.

Answering the question about new business models urging businesses to apply digital transformation in business and human resource management, FPT CEO affirmed that digital transformation is a broad category. FPT implemented digital transformation four years ago, right within itself. FPT data was previously distributed among all of its member companies. Over the past four years, FPT has focused on building databases for the Corp, its customers and partners etc. and is now gradually putting it into practice.

For example, in Telecommunication sector, FPT digitized all technical department by analyzing data and applying artificial intelligence. That has helped to optimize the assignment for thousands of technicians, and labor productivity has tripled. This is a typical example showing how digital transformation has helped businesses find new business and management models.

“In addition, we also help customers pay for services without close contact with FPT employees with “Hi FPT” app. Data digitization and process digital transformation help reduce costs and improve labor productivity,” added he.

Talking about which advanced technologies related to digital transformation are available for technology and non-technology businesses, Mr. Khoa said that digital transformation is all about data. Startups need to find out what their own businesses lack, data or information technology infrastructure? If they have them, start to look for AI and Big Data related products. There is a series of such products and services.

Closing his sharing session, he stated that these technologies are present in Vietnam and work very well. Successful digital transformation requires 3 H: Heart - Head - Hand.
