FPT Towards Being The Leading Company In Blockchain For Businesses

On June 5, Chairman of FPT and Founder of Binance Changpeng Zhao (CZ) had a quick discussion about Vietnamese blockchain and metaverse projects. It was part of a chain of activities on the sidelines of the Vietnam Gaming Industry 2022, organized by VnExpress and FPT AdTrue in July.

Binance's CEO, Changpeng Zhao, and FPT's Chairman, Truong Gia Binh, shared their thoughts

Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, affirmed that all Vietnamese blockchain projects have been operating efficiently with good performance. He also put his trust in the great potential for blockchain development in Vietnam. Sharing the same point of view, Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, said that the investment in blockchain research and development in Vietnam had had more and more accomplishments with the implementation of potential projects in recent years.

"The annual blockchain market growth rate has been 50-60% each year. Additionally, we have been discovering new fields such as metaverse, a promising area for the blockchain market in Vietnam", Mr. Binh added.

According to the FPT's Chairman, a high-quality blockchain project can improve lives. If a project fails to do this, it will disappear. In addition, the project must also create a new economy, helping develop the national economy.

About FPT's development orientation in blockchain technology, Mr. Binh said that the Corporation aimed to become a pioneer in blockchain and metaverse in Vietnam, expanding its global influence. In particular, FPT was on the way to utilizing core technologies such as AI, blockchain, Cloud, and Big Data to design technology products related to the metaverse. It also invested in domestic metaverse startups. Furthermore, in the education sector, FPT has been promoting courses about blockchain and metaverse, opening Blockchain Lab for tech research.

"When you have a solid foundation and enough knowledge, you will easily adapt and eliminate your fear of being knocked down or left behind," Mr. Binh summarized.

Currently, FPT keeps on investing in research and development of solutions towards the goal of becoming a leading company in blockchain technology for businesses. Accordingly, the Corporation focuses on integrating blockchain into technology solutions for the financial and banking sectors, applying Blockchain in Loyalty Network, Traceability, Loyalty-based New Retail, Digital Assets Management, and Smart Contracts. It is expected that in 2022, FPT will deploy credit protocol with banks in Vietnam and node service infrastructure for public blockchains.
