FPT’s Chairman: “Longing to play the consultant role to diplomats”

On June 30th 2021, FPT’s Chairman – Mr. Truong Gia Binh had joined the Science Conference with the topic of “Promote the pioneer role of foreign affairs, strengthen the well-rounded and modernized diplomatic foundation and successfully executing the 12th Party Congress Resolutions” held by the Department of Foreign Affairs.

This was the major event with the participation of the national official leaders and diplomats from time to time, as well as specialists, researchers and key foreign affair personnel.

Within the talk of “Foreign Affairs – a companion to business sector and the people”, Mr. Truong Gia Binh emphasized, foreign affairs as a field were not only the support of exchange value, but also a source of abundant knowledge, of wide vision, and the contribution as strategists to a nation’s difficulties.

In his sharing about the local’s digital transformation, Mr. Binh mentioned, recently, FPT had signed the agreement to plan the development of Binh Dinh & Khanh Hoa Province in the upcoming period of 2021-2022. This agreement headed to the vision of 2050 with the goals to strengthen these two provinces’ advantages. “The plan is oriented to find the uniqueness and strength of Binh Dinh & Khanh Hoa Province. Then, turning Binh Dinh to be the leading AI center regionally, and Khanh Hoa to be the marine economic center – the giantic center of tourism and service in 2025”, Mr. Binh highlighted.

Along with that, FPT’s Chairman also showed the desire to speed up the national economic growth through big projects like building futuristic city, based on the Japanese’s Toyota Woven City as a role model

“Why can’t Vietnam do the same thing?” – Mr. Binh questioned: “The project can possibly scale up to a 700-hectare, even 7000-hectare city where Vietnamese and global enterprises would share, then join hands in forming the future. The feelings are mutual among the business sector, but it is a fact that there is no consistent in leadership and connection.

Sharing the idea of futuristic city, Mr. Binh suggested that the Department of Foreign Affairs should be in between and handle the role of connecting local authorities, businesses and global organization to develop large-scaled projects.

Mr. Dang Hoang Giang – the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs agreed that FPT’s Chairman – Mr. Truong Gia Binh had opened up many ideas for diplomats. Vietnam joined the globalization a while ago and had currently leveled up to a new high regionally and globally. This is the right moment to push strategically and critically in realistic projects and models, then to enter and deepen the integration of globalization.
