Expressing his pride in a flourishing, efficient, and reputational Vietnamese corporation in Malaysia, Mr. Pham Quoc Anh, Vietnam’s Trade Commissioner in Malaysia, asserts that FPT Software (a subsidiary of FPT Corp.) have two key strengths. Firstly, their body of staff and crew are very professional, and their leaders have excellent expertise and vision. Secondly, FPT have managed to establish a positive rapport with their Malaysian partners, and in particular have “establish their own brand” through the quality of their products, and their capability to supply for and win in international bids.

Mr. Pham Quoc Anh stresses, Malaysia is a nation with a very advanced IT industry, a defined business environment, and fierce competition. However, FPT Software have surpassed many Malaysian and international IT powerhouses to become the official partner of Petronas and governmental organizations. "This is a major win for the corporation, establishing our position and building trust in our Malaysian clients, is something to be really proud of".

According to Mr. Ahmad Sphian, Chief digital transformation advisor for Airbus Malaysia’s Boeing airplane design and maintenance firm, based on experience, ability, and strengths, FPT Software is considered as a partner who can help the company to not only thrive in the local area, but also reach far outside of Malaysia.

After the many disturbances in 2020 owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Malaysian economy suffered damages by up to 300 million (72,7 million USD)/day. In the wake of Malaysia enacting its third Travel Restriction (from 12/5 to 7/6) since the pandemic became widespread, FPT Malaysia have been doing their best to overcome their hardships and challenges so as to both keep the infection in check, as well as maintaining operational capabilities and the retention of their 500 employees.

Based on a survey conducted at the end of 2020 by research firm Forrester, 46% of Malaysian corporations are undergoing their digital transformations. This ratio is projected to keep increasing when the Covid-19 pandemic has been and will keep emphasizing the importance of digital transformation to companies.

In Malaysia, digital transformation is also a governmental concern. It is considered the primary drive for national growth, aimed at making Malaysia one of the world’s Top 20 economies by 2050.

As such, the Vietnam - Malaysia partnership is growing on a very positive trend and gradually expanding its scope on many foundational fields, helping both nations connect and increase their chances of cooperation, enabling tech corporations such as FPT Software to massively expediting their operations in this market.
