"I am delighted and honored to be here today, and congratulate the participants in the 1st BrSE course of FPT Software. I said at the opening ceremony one year ago at present that as there is a serious shortage of IT engineers in Japan, That's created huge demand for IT engineers who know Japanese. Some of you will stay in Japan, some will come back to Vietnam, but no matter where you are, I wish you could use the knowledge you have learned at Meros as well as experience in Japan for future”, said Ms. Junko Kagawa, Director of Meros Language Institute.

According to data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan will face a shortfall of 50,000 workers in the field of IT by 2020. But according to a survey by the Information-Technology Promotion Agency (IPA), Japan in the last 5 years, over 60% of Japanese companies confirmed their serious shortage of IT workers. Besides, Vietnam businesses are in huge demand for employees to work for projects with Japanese customers. According to the survey data of Vietnam Software and IT Services Association Vietnam (VINASA), the number of employees of Vietnam’s ICT businesses working for the Japanese market only in the first 6 month of 2015 was increased by 46.4% compared to the one in 2014. "When joining the 10,000 BrSE program, I don't know if my choice is right and I can adapt to a new life. Till now, I see that I made the right decision. The first steps in Japan, the language barrier can make you feel like the deaf and dumb. Difficulties couldn’t make me give up because Japanese fluency means that many opportunities will be given to me. After graduation, I started working for SBI Holdings in Japan,” said Hoa Binh Phung, one of the graduates.
